As one of the most important beauty pageants leading up to the Miss Universe competition, Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2006 is expected to be a suspenseful evening while crowning Cynthia Olavarria's successor. The event will be take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico and MediaZone will provide the two and one-half event during the week of November 13, 2005. The winner of the Miss Puerto Rico Universe pageant goes on to participate in the Miss Universe pageant. Each of the 78 Puerto Rican cities may choose a representative who then enters the Miss Puerto Rico finals.
